The family of a black man who was shot 60 times and killed by police has defended him as a 'peaceful person' - after demonstrations demanding justice for his death turned violent.Jayland Walker, 25, was shot dead by Akron cops following a traffic stop on June 27. Police body camera video released Sunday showed officers fire an estimated 90 shots at Walker while he fled on foot.Akron police arrested 50 protesters Sunday night for rioting after a peaceful rally turned 'violent and unlawful.'
