An cyclist claims he was charged almost $2,000 to be taken to a local hospital by the same ambulance that struck him.
William Hoesch, 71, argues in a new lawsuit that he was pedaling through the small town of Rainier in Columbia County in October 2022, traveling in the same direction as a Columbia Fire & Rescue ambulance, when it tried to make a right turn onto another street and slammed into him,
He allegedly fractured his nose and was left with scrapes and other injuries, as his bike was crushed under the ambulance tire.
