A 17-year-old who stabbed a teen to death at a track meet won't face the death penalty or life without parole if convicted of murder, according to the district attorney.
Karmelo Anthony pulled out a knife and killed Austin Metcalf, 17, in Frisco after he was told he was sitting the wrong area, according to police. Metcalf, a star athlete, bled to death in his twin brother Hunter's arms.
'The has said not only can you not seek the death penalty against someone who committed a when they’re 17, you can’t even get them life without parole. That would not be something we could do even if we wanted to,' Collin County district attorney Greg Willis told .
