A new study predicts that more than half of the 25,000 US cities will become 'ghost towns' by 2100.Researchers at the University of made the starling discovery while analyzing population trends, finding Americans are set to flee the cities for smaller towns.There will be more depopulating cities in the Northeast and Midwest than in the South and West regions, with and the District of Columbia experiencing no loss of people at all.
