Never have more than two eggs a day. Stick to wholegrain bread - and avoid white. And avoid sugary sodas at all costs. These are just three of the hundreds of the supposed diet 'rules' that we've been fed over the years, and led to believe are key to optimum health. But increasing evidence suggests that in fact, a healthy diet is far more simple - consisting of a balance of all food groups, with little sugar and junk, and plenty of fruits and vegetables.
