Dog owners have been urged to be on the lookout for a little-known dental condition that affects seven per cent of canines. 'Shark teeth' – officially known as persistent deciduous teeth (PDT) – is a disorder where two sets of gnashers come out of a row of gums. It occurs when a dog's baby teeth remain fixed in the jaw instead of falling out when the adult teeth come through.
