Elvis Presley's stepbrother David Stanley has apologized after making the 'derogatory' claim the late singer died from suicide aged 42 in 1977.Stanley, now 67, who became the legendary singer's step-sibling when his mother Dee married the singer's father Vernon Presley in 1960, in an emotional Instagram post on Tuesday.Stanley, who became the music icon's bodyguard and part of his famed 'Memphis Mafia' in the 1970s, previously said he believed Elvis took his own life, afraid that his obsession with under-age girls was about to be exposed in a book, and tormented by his guilt at betraying so many lovers.
