A former software engineer has been indicted on charges of stealing trade secrets from the tech giant and passing them on to Chinese companies. Linwei Ding, who also goes by Leon Ding, was charged with four counts of theft of trade secrets by a federal jury in San Francisco on Tuesday. He was arrested in Newark on Wednesday and faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 for each count if convicted.
