Ex-Meta recruiter was paid $190K 'to do nothing' ahead of mass layoffs

A former recruiter has revealed that she 'did nothing' for the embattled tech company while raking in a $190,000 salary - months before culled thousands from the workforce.

Madelyn Machado took to to reminisce about her time in Silicon Valley, recalling that the firm's approach to work 'blew my mind' and she 'didn't do s***' during her six-month stint at the company.

The recruiter bafflingly claimed that despite her role requiring her to seek out new employees, she was told by her bosses she wasn't even expected to do that.
