While the holiday season is a time for family and festivities, experts warn it is a time where deaths from heart attacks also rise.There are around 40 percent more heart attacks during the week between and New Years than the average US week. Doctors blame family stressors, travel, cold weather and even sports for causing the jump.Around 800,000 Americans suffer a heart attack each year, around half are fatal. Survivors of heart attacks are more likely to suffer one again in their life. Heart disease, which can lead to heart attacks - is responsible for 20 percent of US deaths.
