The father of a man charged in the deadly Fourth of July parade shooting in suburban has pleaded guilty to helping his then-teenage son obtain a gun license.The trial for Robert Crimo Jr., the father of the accused Highland Park shooter, Robert 'Bobby' Crimo III, 22, was set to begin on Monday, but a plea deal was reached that will see the father sentenced to 60 days in jail and two years probation, in part for signing his son's application for a Firearm Owner's Identification card to buy a gun in 2019, Lake County State's Attorney Eric Rinehart announced.The elder Crimo must also perform 100 hours of community service, surrender his own FOID card, and any weapons he might own, reported.
