Federal agents conducted "law enforcement activity" on Tuesday (Wednesday morning AEDT) at a Washington mansion owned by Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.The agents were carrying out "court-authorised law enforcement activity," an agency spokesperson said. The activity is connected to a federal investigation out of New York, the spokesperson said, but could not provide any more information. A source familiar with the matter told CNN the investigation has been "ongoing" but also provided no further details.
