A federal appeals court has blocked the Biden administration's plan to forgive hundreds of billions of dollars of federal student loan debt, with an federal court saying they needed more time to rule on an emergency request by Republican-led states to block the policy.The Biden administration had previously said in court filings it could begin canceling student loans as early as this Sunday. The case before the Arkansas court, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, is one of a number of challenges that conservative state attorneys general and legal groups have filed seeking to put on hold the debt forgiveness plan.
