Shocking footage captured the moment cops found an on-the-run suspect swimming through alligator infested waters and lurking in 's snake-filled mangroves.

Taurean Wright led Hillsborough police on a wild six-hour chase on Monday before he was dramatically apprehended by a K-9 unit. It is unclear what he was arrested for.

To avoid a felony arrest, the 34-year-old plunged into a canal and swam to a heavily wooded area near Palm River Road and S 52nd Street in Tampa.
