A former high-ranking female cop has reached a $2.4 million settlement with Boston in a sexism lawsuit after she was forced out of her job for confronting a police officer neighbor about a noisy graduation party.Beth Donovan, a 27-year veteran of the Boston Police Department, sued Boston, , in November 2020 over discrimination, a hostile work environment, and retaliation.The million-dollar settlement was reached four days before the case was set to go to trial in U.S. District Court in Boston, Donovan's lawyer confirmed in a statement.
