The widow and son of a black motorist shot in the head by a white state trooper during a traffic stop over a broken tail light will receive a settlement of nearly $5 million.Julian Lewis, 60, was shot and killed by trooper Jacob Thompson, 28, in the countryside 60 miles south of Savannah, in August 2020.After the state cop signaled Lewis to pull over and he failed to do so, Thompson rammed his car into a ditch.
