sheriffs supporting Governor Brian Kemp have been left outraged at candidate Stacey Abrams after she suggested they target black people and want them off the streets as part of a 'good ol' boys club.'
In a debate on Sunday, Abrams responded to Kemp touting his 107 sheriff endorsements by saying the support is because that wants to 'take black people off the streets.'
'I'm not a member of the "good ol' boys" club. So, no. I don't have 107 sheriffs who want to be able to take black people off the streets, who want to be able to go without accountability,' Abrams said.
