Groom goes on trial for sexually assaulting his bride's bridesmaid

The wife of a man accused of sexually assaulting a bridesmaid just days before their 2019 wedding has taken the stand to defend him.

Nicole Norris, 30, testified in Monroe County, court on Wednesday that one of her bridesmaids was 'conscious and aware' of what she was doing with her then-fiancée Daniel Carney, 30, when she caught the two of them in the shower on August 30, 2019, according to .

Prosecutors, though, say Norris was not there the entire time the two of them were in the shower of the men's locker room at the Shawnee Inn in Smithfield Township, so she could not have fully known what had happened.
