Wearing hearing aids can delay the onset and progression of dementia, new research suggests.While hearing loss can increase the chances of getting dementia by up to a fifth, research found the risk can be cut to 7 per cent if those experiencing it use the devices.Experts said it was further evidence of the link between hearing loss and dementia and emphasised the need for hearing tests.
