An imprisoned former United States military pilot and his wife have launched a double-pronged plea to Australian authorities to let him out in time for Christmas.Australian citizen Daniel Duggan has spent more than a year in NSW maximum security prisons while he fights extradition to the US on accusations of providing military training to Chinese pilots.The father-of-six wrote to the state's acting prisons boss begging to be released on home detention while his wife, Saffrine Duggan, made a similar plea to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
