Massive Hurricane Idalia continues to target the Florida coast putting 20million residents at risk as the major storm is expected to bring 100mph winds and 11foot sea surges when it slams into the Tampa area on Wednesday. Residents in Citrus, Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough and Hernando counties have been told to leave their homes today as part of the ongoing evacuation while storm surge and hurricane watches were issues across 11 counties in the Tampa Bay area. New satellite footage shows lightning in the middle of the storm, which is projected to grow to a Category 3 weather system and has put nearly 20 million people in danger across the state.
