Less than half of over 55s have an estate plan in place - and experts are warning this could have disastrous consequences for their families. Only 46 percent of Americans over the age of 55 have a will, according to a by caregivers site Caring.com.The number of households with plans to distribute their assets after death has also been in steady decline. In 2020, 48 percent of over 55s had a will in place, according to the study.
