It's hard to imagine what went through the minds of the roughly 50 callous climbers who jumped over a near-dead man as he lay just feet away from the top of one of the world's tallest and most perilous mountains. Perhaps they felt their pursuit of glory was more important than the life of Mohammad Hassan, a 27-year-old high-altitude porter from , who tragically passed away after an avalanche on July 27 pushed him down several feet as he was 1,300 ft from the top of the 28,300 ft tall K2 mountain.New evidence has revealed that instead of helping the porter, who worked for Lela Peak Expedition, his fellow climbers went up the side of the mountain past him without offering any help.
