Inside health-obsessed LA's $50k-a-year 'wellness club'

The co-founder of Whole Foods has launched a health and wellness club that costs a cool $50,000 a year to join - and he admits only health-obsessed would buy into it.

John Mackey, 70, opened Love.Life - a combination doctor's office, gym, and wellness center - that will allow the richest of society to 'Nourish, Heal, Thrive,' as the motto above the door reads.

'If this idea won't work in LA, it won't work period,' he told . 'People here are more into their health, they're more into looking good, feeling good, they're into longevity.'
