A top Hezbollah commander has been killed in an Israeli airstrike on , according to security sources on both sides, escalating tensions to new heights as the Middle East edges closer to the brink of all-out war.
military said it had carried out a 'targeted strike' on the Lebanese capital, with pictures emerging from the scene showing a huge crater where a building was razed in the Daniyeh suburb, a Hezbollah stronghold.
Senior Hezbollah terror cell commander Ibrahim Aqil, who had a a $7 million bounty placed on him by the US for his role in 1980s terror attacks on Americans in Lebanon, was reportedly targeted and killed in the strike.
