On Wednesday morning, the Kremlin confirmed that Carlson's controversial interview with Putin had taken place. The state news agency TASS said that the piece will likely be uploaded to X on Thursday. Dmitry Peskov, a government spokesman, also disagreed with Carlson's assertion. He told TASS that the Kremlin regularly rejects requests from other journalists for interviews with Putin because they would be of no benefit.
