JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon told US lawmakers he would shut down the cryptocurrency industry due to its threat to national security - after rallied to a 20-month high this week.Dimon has repeatedly hit out at unregulated digital currencies, previously referring to them as 'Ponzi schemes' and 'fraud.'On Wednesday, he went further by telling the Banking Committee's annual Wall Street oversight hearing: 'I've always been deeply opposed to crypto, bitcoin, etcetera. If I was the government, I'd close it down.'
