Children who are just six months old could be eligible for their first Covid vaccine by June amid pressure from some parents — but many experts doubt shots are needed for this age group. Dr Peter Marks — a top jabs adviser at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) — pledged Friday not to take any more time than is needed to approve the jabs. Moderna applied for two doses of its vaccine to be given to children between six months and five years old on Thursday. Pfizer is expected to make the same request for three doses of its jab in the coming weeks.
