King Charles handed out money during the Maundy Thursday Service at York Minister today as he ignored anti-monarchy protesters to perform the ancient ritual. The sovereign, 74, accompanied by Queen Camilla, presented 74 men and 74 women aged over 70 with two purses - one red and one white - each containing specially minted silver coins worth £74.
