A Bronx woman who brandished a knife and pepper spray during a violent outburst at the North Bergen Walmart faces a slew of charges after the chaotic episode sent several people to local hospitals, authorities said.Imani Jones, 39, was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and other offenses following the Sunday afternoon incident near the customer service area of the big box store.A spokesman for North Bergen said Jones was waiting in line at the customer service desk around 3:40 p.m. when she got into an altercation with an employee. She then pulled out a can of pepper spray and shot it at employees and customers. Following the scrum, Jones brandished a pocket knife and entered a packing room beside the customer service desk.A criminal complaint outlining the charges alleges Jones pointed the knife at an employee who was standing by the door and kept him in the room with her. The employee called police from inside the enclosed area and indicated he was stuck in the room with Jones and feared for his life, according to the court document.Five people suffered temporary blindness or vision impairment during the incident, and one person reported having a panic attack, according to the complaint. A spokesman for the township said four of the victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
