As barrels toward another government shutdown fight in less a month, Sen. James Lankford is pushing a bipartisan bill that would end shutdowns forever. Instead of halting paychecks for millions of government workers when Congress blows past funding deadlines, members would instead have to stay in Washington, D.C. and work seven days a week until they passed spending bills, according to his legislation. 'It's really simple: if you haven't got your classwork done, you've got to stay after class to be able to finish your classwork before you go home.'
