A high-flying art adviser, whose clients include Leonardo , has been accused by a former friend and real-estate heiress of running a ponzi scheme after failing to pay $1.8million owed from the sale of a prestigious painting.Lisa Schiff is alleged to have defrauded her 'partner in ' Candace Barasch and fellow plaintiff Richard Grossman by refusing to pay fees owed following the sale of Adrian Ghenie's The Uncle 3 for $2.5million.The lawsuit, filed in New York on Thursday, claims the fraud was 'part of a much larger Ponzi scheme' run by Schiff, which involved 'taking money from one client to pay another, and to fund Schiff's lavish lifestyle'.
