A who killed five co-workers and injured eight others during a rampage at a bank claimed he was motivated by lax and wanted to spur politicians into action, a new police report has revealed.
Connor Sturgeon, 25, bought an AR-15 and stormed the Old National Bank where he used to work on April 10, 2023. The fatalities were , and four other bank employees, Joshua Barrick, 40, Juliana Farmer, 45, Deana Eckert, 57, and James Tutt, 64.
In his personal writings revealed in the new police report, the shooter said: 'I have decided to make an impact. These people did not deserve to die, but because I was depressed and able to buy [guns], they are gone,' Sturgeon wrote just six days before opening fire.
