The was found by the US Coast Guard showing signs of hypothermia and shock after potentially being in the water for more than 15 hours, rescuers say. The unidentified man, 28, was found alive and in stable conditions in the Gulf of after falling overboard the Carnival Valor cruise ship following a night of drinking and could have been in the water for up to 21.5 hours. He was rescued by the US Coast Guard (USCG) on Day at 8.25pm, roughly 20 miles south of the Southwest Pass in , not far from where the ship took off in New Orleans on its journey to Mexico.
