A pilot Peter Smith, who owns tour company West Elk Air, landed his chopper on the western shore of Jackson Lake inside Grand Teton National Park at about 3pm on June 24.The national park attracts about 500,000 visitors a year but the remote area he flew into that afternoon is usually only accessible by boat or on foot.
