A brave surfer who was attacked by a shark at a popular beach managed to save his own life and swim 600m back to shore despite being badly bitten on the leg. The man, aged in his twenties, was attacked by the great white shark at Gnarabup Beach in the Margaret River region, , at 8.45am on Monday.The shark bit the man on his leg before he managed to break free from its deathly grip and miraculously swim back to shore despite losing 'a lot of blood'.
