A new map reveals that areas of California that are expected to be the hardest hit from the bomb cyclone weather system that is currently lashing the Golden State. The worst hit areas will be around the area of Eureka in the northern part of the state close to the border and all though and surrounding areas where more than 10 inches of rain is predicted to fall this week. The storm inundated streets and brought down trees and electrical lines Sunday across the San Francisco Bay Area, where winds topped 60 mph in some areas. Gusts exceeding 80 mph were recorded in the mountains.
