After Deputy Scot Peterson Thursday over his lack of action in the Parkland , the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas 1200 building in which it took place is set to be demolished. Peterson, a former sheriff's deputy who was found not guilty of child neglect and other crimes when he fled to safety as 17 people were gunned down at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, said he 'got his life back.' This summer, the 1200 building - which has stood for five years with fencing surrounding it since that fateful day - will be destroyed.
