's chief of staff on Tuesday launched a last-ditch attempt to avoid being arrested in - as the deadline looms for the 19 people, including the former president, to turn themselves in to jail. Mark Meadows is trying to get his trial moved from a state court to a federal one, arguing that his actions took place while he was a federal employee, as he begs to be spared from booking this week.Meadows and the other 18 defendants have been given a deadline of noon on Friday to surrender, or else the District Attorney Fani Willis will issue an arrest warrant.
