A teacher and her 18-month-old daughter have escaped war-torn Sudan as the was slammed for refusing to rescue 16,000 trapped Americans.Trillian Clifford, of Ashland, and her daughter Alma, had been hiding in their apartment for ten days after fighting broke out in the capital, Khartoum.They made their daring escape Tuesday and got out of the African country between 1pm to 3pm local time, according to Rebecca Winter, Clifford's sister-in-law.
