Mets' Edwin Diaz reveals he is 'doing well' following surgery

star Edwin Diaz has spoken out following his likely season-ending knee injury suffered while celebrating a Puerto Rico win at the World Baseball Classic.

Diaz left the knee in a wheelchair following a right knee patellar tendon injury postgame Wednesday night.

He has since had surgery, with his timeline to return reported to sit at approximately eight months.
