Michigan adopted a new rule that prohibits judges from misgendering people that come before them in court. The state's Supreme Court ordered judges across to address people correctly in court by their choice of pronouns or by 'other respectful means'.The newly-adopted rule allows legal personnel to include Ms., Mr. or 'Mx.' which is a gender-neutral title as the person's preferred form of address.
