has swooped in to hire ousted OpenAI boss Sam Altman along with co-founder Greg Brockman to lead a new advanced AI research team, the tech giant's CEO Satya Nadella has announced.Nadella also appeared to confirm Emmett Shear's reported appointment as the new OpenAI CEO, a company which Microsoft partners with, saying they are 'looking forward to getting to know Emmett Shear and OAI's new leadership team and working with them.'Hinting that Microsoft is keen to shore up its AI investment, Nadella added: 'We remain committed to our partnership with OpenAI and have confidence in our product roadmap, our ability to continue to innovate with everything we announced at Microsoft Ignite, and in continuing to support our customers and partners.'
