Some of the migrants charged with planning and carrying out a March 21 riot on the border in El Paso, where they overpowered and attacked members of the Texas National Guard, are now free after being released on a legal technicality. At least 70 migrants were charged over the March 21 riot that saw six hundred charge at a border gate, assaulting law enforcement agents and scaling barbed wire. Many were being held in El Paso but were this weekend ordered released after District Attorney Bill Hicks' office failed to file the necessary paperwork required to keep them in custody.
