Shocking body camera footage caught the moment an Oakland police officer tasered an unarmed father-of-two as he struggled in the water.
Deontae Faison, 35, was accused of driving with expired tags on his vehicle on April 5, 2024 when East Bay Officer Jonathan Knea was seen deploying his stun gun and firing it at the father-of-two as he waded in 10-feet-deep water, according to a federal lawsuit filed by his family.
It accuses Knea of violating district policy and Taser manufacturer guidelines by using the device on Faison as he struggled in an estuary, causing him to drown,
