Mortgage rates fell for the third consecutive week to their lowest level in more than a month offering some respite to overstretched homebuyers. Figures from Government-backed lender Freddie Mac show the average rate on a 30-year fixed loan fell to 7.44 percent, down from 7.5 percent, to last week.
