A mom who ran through fire to save her baby when their house went up in flames has recounted the 'excruciating' pain she felt while recovering from various third-degree burns as a result of her heroic actions. Erika Sparks, 40, and daughter Lena, now two, from , suffered second and third-degree burns to both their face and body after their house blew up two years ago. When the mother-of-four's home caught on fire on Day and her then-11-month-old was trapped among the flames, without even hesitating, Erika sprinted into the flames and grabbed her baby - putting her under her shirt to protect her from the blaze.
