's giant, next-generation moon rocket is set to make its debut launch on an uncrewed test flight to the moon, five days after an initial liftoff attempt was thwarted by technical problems. On Saturday morning, the countdown clock began running and ground crews worked to fuel the 32-story tall Space Launch System (SLS) rocket, which is due for blastoff from Cape Canaveral, at 2.17pm for the Artemis 1 mission. If successful, the launch will mark a major step in humanity's return to the moon, 50 years after the last Apollo lunar mission, and could be followed by crewed flights to lunar orbit as soon as 2024.
