New York City Mayor Eric Adams signed an executive order Monday to protect gender-affirming care, saying 'hate has no place in our city.'The order prevents the use of city resources going towards the detainment, prosecution or investigation by another state into anyone providing or receiving gender-affirming healthcare services in New York City.The decision is at odds with the wave of being put in place in states. Adams is the 12th governor to sign an order that protects access.
