They might be an essential piece of everyday clothing, but scientists now say that even a simple pair of jeans could be bad for the environment. Wearing a pair of fast fashion jeans just once creates 2.5kg of CO2, the equivalent of driving a car 6.4 miles. Scientists from the Guangdong University of Technology analysed the life cycle of a pair of Levi's jeans from growing the cotton to their eventual disposal.
